Shri Andava Thoothar Perumal

Shri Andava Thoothar Perumal From Kanchipuram

There’s a remarkable temple that’s especially meaningful for those born under the Rohini star! Rohini individuals are known for their love of intellectual conversations and a fondness for all things majestic. They have a passion for travel, a commitment to their spiritual practices, and a deep appreciation for the fine arts, particularly music and dance. This temple is dedicated to Lord Sri Krishna, who is elegantly positioned beneath the Badra Vimana, the tower that rises above the sacred sanctuary, creating an inspiring atmosphere for visitors and devotees alike.

There’s a fascinating tale behind this! Krishna was sent as a special messenger by the Pandavas to Duryodhana after their thirteen years of exile. He courageously urged Duryodhana to return the Pandavas’ rightful land, but Duryodhana had other ideas and attempted to harm Krishna during a dinner. However, Krishna, aware of the plot, revealed his colossal form, which terrified Duryodhana. Ultimately, the Pandavas regained their land, all thanks to Krishna, who is affectionately known as Pandava Thoothar for his unwavering support and cleverness in their time of need.

The deity at this temple is depicted in the unique Vishwapadhayoga pose, where his feet touch the ground, making walking around the temple beneficial for strengthening muscles and nerves.
