The Biligiriranga Hills, commonly known as BR Hills, are a scenic range in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. Located between the Western and Eastern Ghats, these hills lie at the juncture of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, creating a unique blend of ecosystems and biodiversity. The hills rise to an elevation of approximately 5,091 feet, providing breathtaking views, cool temperatures, and lush greenery. Flora and Fauna BR Hills is home to the Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple Wildlife Sanctuary, which is part of a protected area spanning over 500 square kilometers. The sanctuary supports a diverse range of flora and fauna, from thick forests to grasslands. Rich in wildlife, the sanctuary shelters several endangered species, including tigers, elephants, leopards, and sloth bears, along with a large population of exotic birds.
